Commission

Terms of Commission

Last updated: 6 September 2026

Process overview

Every AUREYA piece is made for one person, once. The process begins with a private consultation — by call, in person, or through the form on this site — where we understand the occasion, the wearer, and the idea.

From there, we move through design, rendering, handcrafting, and refinement. Each stage is approved before the next begins. A commission is confirmed only when both the design direction and the terms below are agreed in writing.

Confidentiality

The designs, sketches, correspondence, and personal stories shared with us remain private. We do not reproduce a commissioned piece for another client, publish images without permission, or disclose details to third parties beyond what is necessary to complete the work.

If we ever wish to feature a finished piece in our archive or communications, we will ask for your written consent first.

Timeline

Bespoke work cannot be rushed. A commission typically requires several weeks from confirmation to delivery, depending on complexity, stone sourcing, and the atelier calendar.

We agree on an estimated delivery window at the start and communicate any changes as soon as they arise. Delays caused by material availability or client-requested revisions may extend this window.

Payment terms

A deposit is required to confirm every commission. The balance is due before the finished piece is delivered. All prices are agreed in writing before work begins and include the agreed materials and labour.

Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been sourced or work has commenced. Cancellations before this point may be refunded partially, less any costs already incurred.

Revisions

Design revisions are welcome during the rendering phase. Each commission includes a reasonable number of design iterations; further revisions, or changes requested after production has begun, may incur additional cost and time.

We do not proceed to handcrafting until the design is approved. Once metal is cast and stones are set, structural changes are no longer possible without restarting the piece.

Intellectual property

The physical piece belongs to you once fully paid. The underlying designs, renderings, and any preparatory work remain the intellectual property of AUREYA and World Wide Gems.

We retain the right to refuse reproduction of the design, for you or for others, unless otherwise agreed.

Dispute resolution

If any concern arises, we ask that it be raised with us directly first. Most matters are resolved through clear conversation.

Should a dispute remain unresolved, it will be governed by the laws of Germany and, where necessary, referred to the competent court in Germany.
